That's my Mad Men suit.

i actually paid $40 for it, from a vintage clothing store booth at a car show. I usually don't spend that much but it was made fro me and it was dead stock.

It was actually the outfit that really got me back into wearing vintage all the time instead of only for events.

The title of this pic is "Which would I rather ride?" ;)

I have a suspicion that when you're usually very (or at least pretty) thrifty and something kind of suddenly seems worth the splurge, it probably really is. :o) It looks awesome on you!

My persian lamb coat was sort of the same. It was, IIRC, $75, but it was in amazing, amazing condition and fit me as if it was made for me. I loved it. But that's a lot of money for me, especially at that point, so I left it behind. I went back a short time later and put it in layaway. It ends up it's one of my most cherished possessions!
